In the middle of your performance a Bug lands on your table. You try
and brush it away but it flits about. You poke it with your wand, but it
refuses to fly away. So, you capture it under a handkerchief.
Looking around you grab a cup you have been sipping water out of
and attempt to drop the bug inside. It has vanished! You continue
your performance. Later on, the Bug appears again! You grab the
cup place it over the dancing Bug. Well done! Continue with your
performance. Drat, the pesky Bug appears on your jacket and then
back on the table. Oh no – another one. Wrong! When you lift the
cup you discover that the Bug has escaped. So, you capture it
again, making double sure it is actually under the cup. Watch out – it
crawls away! Caught again, you proceed with the show. Later, you
reach into your pocket for a coin and come out with the Bug instead.
Yikes! You toss it onto the table and lift the cup. Gone! This time
you pick up the Bug and drop it into the cup and cover it with a card.
Once more the Bug escapes and appears in a troublesome spot –
and the cup shown empty. So, you decide to use magic. A few
passes and mumbled words and the Bug vanishes. No! Now it
apparently likes the cup and is found inside. So, the cup is placed
mouth-down and the Bug vanished once more. Again it reappears
under the cup! It liked your pocket, right? The empty cup is placed
mouth down on the table and the Bug definitely put in your pocket.
Finally, your hands are empty and the cup is empty. Time to get on
with your performance. Oh no! The Bug is now back under the cup
again. Weary of this you place the Bug in your palm and smash it.
Yuk! You wipe your hands with a handkerchief and place it aside
with the cup. Later you hear a buzzing and look under the cup.
Nothing. So, you lift the handkerchief and find the squashed Bug
indelibly part of the cloth.
